A framed advertising showcard for Barbour of Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The central illustration depicts a caricature of an elderly tailor in a red cap and tailcoat, sewing a patch onto a boy’s trousers. The scene is set within a workshop and features various brand marks. Printed text to the top reads BARBOUR / LISBURN, N. IRELAND. / ESTD 1784. Multiple logos featuring an open hand device are visible, including text for BARBOUR’S, FLAX MARK, SHOE THREAD, ROYAL IRISH LINEN THREAD, and 3 CORD. Two spools in the foreground are marked 3 CORD NO 50 2 OUNCE and BARBOUR’S LINEN THREAD. A white printed strip at the bottom right states All Previous Price Lists Cancelled. The showcard is housed in a glazed wooden frame with metal mounting brackets.

Condition report:
In very good condition other thatn a couple of areas with some damage. Some foxing to the lower half. The lithograph displays good colour retention with even age-related yellowing across the field (photo 1). There are two small circular holes at the top centre of the print, likely from original mounting (photo 3). The wooden frame exhibits minor scuffs and marks consistent with age (photo 5). The reverse brown paper backing is aged, brittle, and peeling at the edges (photo 7). The glazing shows surface smudging (photo 1).
