An advertising showcard for Bovril, presented in a mitred oak wood frame behind glass. The background consists of blue and white washes. The slogan WEATHER THE WEATHER is printed along the top in black capital letters, with WITH to the left, and BOVRIL in red block letters with black outlines across the centre. The central illustration depicts a young woman in a dark waterproof sou’wester hat and coat holding a steaming cup and saucer, the cup featuring a shield-shaped logo containing the word BOVRIL in an uppercase sans-serif font. The reverse is sealed with brown paper and fitted with a single metal mounting bracket.
Across the widest point, the frame measures 15 1/4 inches. The total height of the frame is 19 1/4 inches.


Condition report:

Visible foxing and discolouration to the upper left and background areas of the print (photo 1). The oak frame shows minor surface abrasions consistent with use (photos 2 and 3).
