An oval enamel advertising sign for Smith & Pearson Ltd of Dublin. The sign features a cobalt blue ground with white serif and sans-serif lettering. The upper section reads SMITH & PEARSON LTD in a curved arc, with decorative white flourishes in the centre above the word DUBLIN. A white border frames the edge of the convex form. A small printed mark at the bottom edge reads PATENT E. COBHAM. Smith & Pearson were prominent Irish structural engineers and ironworkers based in Dublin.

Condition report:

The enamel retains a good surface gloss with scattered surface scratches and abrasions throughout the blue field and some minor chips to the enamel(photo 1).
