A double-sided flanged enamel advertising sign for Pratt’s Perfection Spirit. The sign features a bright yellow ground with bold black block lettering, each character accented with a red drop-shadow. The layout consists of three lines: Pratt’s, Perfection, and Spirit. A maker’s mark is printed in black block letters to the bottom right corner reading PROTECTOR ECCLES. The sign is constructed from enamel on steel with a right-angle mounting flange along the left-hand edge.

Condition report:

The sign is in used condition with several notable defects. There are multiple large areas of enamel loss (shelling) to the face exposing the rusted metal substrate, specifically affecting the letters P, A, and T of the top line (photo 1) and the letter T of the bottom line (photo 4). Similar losses are present on the reverse side (photo 6). The outer edges show significant chipping and corrosion throughout (photo 8). The mounting flange is bent and exhibits heavy rust with substantial loss of the yellow enamel coating (photo 5). The enamel surface shows fine scratching and scuffing consistent with age and outdoor display (photo 9).
