A 1lb cylindrical lithographed tin for Kirmer Carbide of Calcium. The orange ground features black and cream typographic detail including the Kirmer trade mark and wording stating Highest Grade Dustless & Correct Size for Cycle & Motor Cycle Lamps. The reverse carries safety warnings regarding the inflammable nature of the contents if in contact with moisture, alongside a list of Kirmer Specialities including burning oil, lubricating oil, and repair outfits. The lower section of the reverse is marked Kirk & Merifield Birmingham.

Condition report:

Nicely presented, some surface oxidation and rust is visible on the top lid and around the base rim (photo 1). The main body displays scattered minor scratches, small chips to the paint, and light surface rust spots (photo 2). The structure appears sound with no major denting visible.
