A Marston’s Pedigree circular metal bar tray with a white ground and navy blue border. The central graphic depicts a king figure in the style of a playing card, holding a glass of red-hued bitter and a sword hilt. To the upper left is a heraldic crest featuring three red barrels respectively labeled MILD, STRONG, and PALE, above a shield with a martlet and wavy lines. The base is printed with the brand name Marston’s above Pedigree in white lettering on a red rectangular field, followed by the slogan The King of Bitters. The reverse has a plain metal finish with three integral raised lugs.

Condition report:

The tray shows signs of bar use with visible wear throughout. There are numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of paint loss across the lithographed face (photo 1). Oxidation and rust spotting are evident on the white ground, around the inner rim, and within the lower text area (photo 3). The reverse side shows extensive surface oxidation, mottled discolouration, and minor pitting (photo 2).
