A point-of-sale advertising display bust for Auld Shepp Scotch Whisky. The piece is modelled in the form of a bearded shepherd wearing a traditional tam o’ shanter cap with a pom-pom. Constructed from a moulded composite material with a bronze-effect patinated finish, the hollow interior is reinforced with a horizontal metal cross-brace. The front of the integral rectangular base features relief lettering with ‘Auld Shepp’ finished in red and ‘SCOTCH WHISKY’ in black. A separate patinated metal shepherd’s crook accessory is included, designed to be seated in a designated aperture on the right side of the base.
Height: 10.5 inches.

Condition report:

The display shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. There is visible surface paint loss and chipping to the edges of the base and the top of the cap (photos 1 and 3). The interior and underside edges exhibit extensive fine crazing and cracking to the finish (photo 4). The metal shepherd\'s crook is currently detached, and there is associated surface loss around the mounting hole on the base (photo 2). General surface grime is present throughout.
