A Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky point-of-sale advertising figure, constructed from a plaster composite with a wire cane and monocle, set upon a hollow green rectangular base. The figure depicts the iconic ‘Striding Man’ in a red tailcoat, white breeches, brown top hat, and black boots. The front of the base features the slogan ‘Don’t say Whisky - say JOHNNIE WALKER’ in cream lettering. A small gold adhesive label is present on the internal underside of the base, featuring a black border and text that reads: ‘GOODMAN & SON LTD MODELLERS NEW MALDEN SURREY MADE IN ENGLAND’. The figure features hand-painted detailing, including blue and white spotted accents to the coattails and a black bow tie.

Condition report:
The figure is in as-found condition with areas of damage and wear. There is a break and subsequent repair to the right arm at the elbow and wrist (photo 6), and a visible crack to the left shoulder (photo 1). Widespread paint loss, flaking, and scuffing are evident throughout, particularly to the red coat, hat, and the green finish of the base (photos 4 and 5). The card base is heavily damaged at the front left corner, showing a loss of the outer paper layer and exposure of the internal structure (photo 5).
