A Harvey & Son advertising sign with a cream ground and serif lettering in black with gold-toned edging. The central lithographed colour illustration depicts a busy industrial scene at the Bridge Wharf Brewery in Lewes, featuring sailing barges, horse-drawn carts, and workers moving beer barrels. The sub-heading reads BRIDGE WHARF BREWERY, LEWES. Further text at the base promotes OLD, MILD & PALE ALES and WINE & SPIRIT MERCHANTS. A printed mark in the lower right corner of the illustration reads PRINTERS, SIR JOSEPH CAUSTON & SONS, LONDON. The sign is mounted in a dark-stained wood frame with a narrow gilt inner slip.

Condition report:

The paper ground displays significant foxing and age-related brown spotting across the cream areas (photos 1-5). The central colour lithograph appears relatively clear and retains good colour. The frame shows minor surface scuffs and light wear (photos 7-8). The item has been reframed with modern paper backing and hanging hardware (photo 9).
