An superbly detailed Ind Coope & Co. Ltd lithographed advertising print featuring a detailed bird’s-eye panoramic view of the brewery complex at Burton on Trent. The central typography is rendered in shadowed serif lettering reading IND, COOPE & CO. LTD BREWERS, BURTON ON TRENT. positioned below a red castle trade mark. The central image is surrounded by vignettes depicting functional departments including the barrel department, cooperage, malt kiln, home and export bottling store, and a garage featuring early motor vehicles. A row of six prize medals is depicted at the bottom centre, with legible text referencing the Calcutta International 1883-84 and National Exhibition 1882. One brewery building within a vignette is dated AD 1897. The print is housed in a dark oak frame with a gold-tone inner slip and is set behind glass. A printed printer’s mark along the lower edge reads BEMROSE & SONS LTD. DERBY & LONDON.

Condition report:
The print shows light foxing and minor spotting throughout the sky and margin areas (photo 1). A significant vertical surface crease or scratch is visible in the upper right quadrant within the sky (photo 6). The oak frame exhibits minor scuffs, dings, and surface wear consistent with age (photo 11). The brown backing paper is intact but appears wrinkled and brittle (photo 13).
