A Warwicks & Richardsons Ltd advertising showcard for Ales & Stout. The design features a central brewery coat of arms with two otters supporting a blue and white waved shield, beneath a knight’s helm crest. The brand name ‘WARWICKS” is printed in dark blue serif capitals with gold-tone outlines, accompanied by ‘Ales & Stout’ in light blue and ‘On draught & in bottle’ in red. Illustrations of a glass of pale ale and a glass of dark stout are shown to the lower right. The brewery name and Newark-on-Trent location are printed to the bottom. The piece is set within a dark wood frame behind glass. A printer’s mark along the lower edge reads ‘PRINTED IN ENGLAND BY SIR JOSEPH CAUSTON & SONS, LIMITED, NOTTINGHAM & LONDON.’

Condition report:
Visible foxing and moisture staining are present on the ground, notably at the lower corners (photos 4 and 5). The print colours remain vibrant. The wood frame exhibits minor surface scuffs and wear (photo 1). The reverse is finished with brown paper backing, tape, and a hanging wire (photo 8). Not examined out of frame.
