Lot 77: Henri Wintermans De Sigarenmaker Cast Metal Figure

A promotional cast metal figure finished in a dark grey tone, depicting a seated cigar maker at work. The figure is shown wearing an apron and a cap, seated on a bench with a cigar press on his lap. The reverse of the bench features an integral cast rectangular plaque with the relief-moulded text Henri Wintermans, Eersel-Holland, De Sigarenmaker. A small rectangular recessed mark is present on the front upper surface of the base, though it is not legible. The underside of the rectangular base shows diagonal cast striations and is finished with dark green paint.
