Austin illuminated advertising sign featuring the brand name in serif block lettering. The sign is constructed from a clear acrylic rectangular box housing hand-blown glass neon tubing mounted over hand-painted letters. The lettering is finished in reddish-brown with black outlining, applied to the interior rear surface. A metal identification plate is riveted to the lower right corner of the front panel reading Brillite Neon Signs Ltd, Tel. 1229, Offices: 7 East Park Parade, Northampton. The sign is fitted with metal bolts and includes an external transformer in a cream-coloured metal housing with associated wiring.

Condition report:
The acrylic housing shows significant surface scratching, scuffing, and general clouding throughout (photo 1). The metal bolts and nuts securing the casing exhibit heavy rusting and corrosion (photo 2). The internal paint for the lettering is significantly perished, with widespread flaking and loss visible on the letters S, T, I, and N (photo 3). The external transformer housing is heavily rusted and weathered (photo 8). The wiring is frayed and exposed at the ends (photo 8). The unit is sold as a collectible object and is untested; professional inspection and rewiring are required before use.
