A lithographed metal advertising sign for Dagenite Motor Batteries. The sign features a yellow ground with a red upper band containing the brand name Dagenite in white-on-black block lettering with cream three-dimensional shading. Below, the words Motor Batteries appear in black block capitals. The lower section includes the slogan Right for Rolls-Royce Right for You too! in red cursive script, flanked by two stylized red figures holding lightning bolts. The reverse carries a printed notice in the bottom margin stating THIS WALLPLATE IS THE PROPERTY OF HOLSUN BATTERIES LIMITED AND MUST BE GIVEN UP ON DEMAND. Production codes SP/119/12/64 and WALLPLATE NO. 119A (REVISED.) are printed in the lower corners. A yellow adhesive label on the reverse reads 16 over B 72.
