A four-sided petrol pump globe of rectangular form with recessed panels and angled corners. The two principal faces feature a red horizontal band above the brand name REGENT in blue block lettering, with a blue horizontal band to the base. The side panels feature the brand name REGENT oriented vertically in blue. The base flange bears a black printed mark reading WEBB S CRYSTAL GLASS CO LTD LONDON. The interior of the base is marked with handwritten blue characters 4 57.


Condition report:

The globe retains generally bold colours. The blue lettering and lower bands show flaking and paint loss to both faces (photos 1, 4, 6, 8). There is visible staining and surface run-off to the white body (photos 2, 4). The mounting collar at the base displays several chips around the rim (photos 11, 14, 15).
