A Price’s Motor Oils advertising sign featuring a red ground and central blue pennant graphic. The brand name is presented in white serif lettering within the pennant, alongside a circular medallion depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea. The medallion includes the letter S to the left of the ship and the word BRAND arranged vertically to the right. The lower section of the sign displays the wording MOTOR OILS in white block lettering with blue outlines. A printed maker’s mark at the bottom right corner reads BRUTON, PALMERS GREEN, N. The reverse of the sign shows a weathered finish with areas of dark scaling.

Condition report:

The sign exhibits significant environmental deterioration across the entire surface. There is extensive enamel loss and heavy oxidation to the face, particularly affecting the red background and central graphics (photo 1). The edges and corners show severe corrosion and structural loss to the metal substrate (photos 2 and 3). The reverse is heavily weathered with widespread rust and loss of the original finish (photo 8). All four corner mounting holes show heavy corrosion to the surrounding metal (photo 1).
