A double-sided enamel motoring advertising sign for the Auto Cycle Union (ACU). The sign features a white ground with a central green and white quatrefoil design. The large serif letters ACU are positioned in the centre, surrounded by the wording AUTO CYCLE UNION REPAIRER in block capitals within the green border. The design is finished with small green three-dot decorative clusters at the top, bottom, and side points. The sign is approximately 20 inches square.

Condition report:

The sign shows significant wear consistent with outdoor use. There is substantial enamel loss and chipping to the metal substrate across both faces, particularly noticeable in the central white areas and along all four edges (photos 1, 2, and 3). One side exhibits heavy vertical staining and streaking (photo 2). Oxidation and rust are present on the exposed metal, most prominently around the two hanging holes at the top edge and along the right-hand side (photos 2 and 4). The metal shows minor bending and warping along the edges (photo 4).
