A blue ground motoring enamel sign for the Royal Automobile Club. The double-sided sign features a central diamond panel with the RAC monogram within a laurel wreath, surmounted by a crown in white and black. A separate lower semi-elliptical panel is bolted to the base, displaying the wording GET-YOU-HOME SERVICE in white sans-serif lettering. The graphics are enclosed within white borders. Two lengths of iron hanging chain are attached to the upper mounting points. The sign measures approximately 28 inches in height and 21.75 inches at the widest point.


Condition report:

Enamel loss and surface oxidation are present along the perimeter of both panels and around the mounting bolts (photo 1). There are scattered chips and surface scratches to the blue field, although the central graphics are largely unaffected (photo 4). The hanging chains and mounting hardware show oxidation (photo 2).
