A double-sided metal advertising sign. The front features a yellow ground with the brand name in red block lettering outlined in white above the slogan THE ALL-STEEL BICYCLE in black. A pictorial vignette shows a black bicycle against a wooden post in a landscape with hills and a lake. To the bottom right is a crest featuring a red heron above an R and a yellow banner reading THE RALEIGH. The bottom margin includes the printed text England, Series No. 3809. The reverse functions as a public safety sign with black stencilled lettering reading POLICE WARNING PLEASE LOCK YOUR CAR on a grey ground.

Condition report:
The sign is in found condition with significant enamel loss. There are substantial chips to the metal along the left and right edges and a large area of loss with heavy oxidation to the lower-right corner (photos 1, 2, and 6). Scattered smaller chips are present across the central pictorial area (photo 3). The reverse side is weathered and was repurposed with a Police warning to motorists to Lock their cars
