B.S.A. Motor Cycles advertising Fingerplate featuring a bevelled clear panel mounted on a rectangular wooden mount. The central green cartouche displays the piled arms trade mark device lettered TRADE MARKS B.S.A., bordered above by an arched green banner reading B.S.A. MOTOR CYCLES LTD PROPRIETORS and below by a matching banner reading THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO LTD BIRMINGHAM.
The wooden base measures 8 1/4 inches high by 3 1/8 inches wide; the clear panel measures 7 1/4 inches high by 2 1/2 inches wide.


Condition report:

There is paint loss, lifting, and silvering to the main green transfer behind the glass panel, particularly across the centre of the stacked rifles motif (photos 2 and 3). Residue and degradation are present along the left edge of the transparent panel (photos 1, 2, 3).
