Lot 392: Texaco Motor Oil Can

Teardrop form motor oil can of copper construction with brass fittings, fitted with an angled spout, a rear strap handle, and a brass threaded cap to the top. The upper surface of the body is stamped TEXACO in block lettering between the cap collar and spout.
Condition report:
Heavy, dark aged surface patina throughout with scattered surface marks, tarnish, and small areas of verdigris, particularly around the soldered joints and cap collar (photo 1). Shallow handling indentations to the body consistent with workshop use (photo 2). The cap is present and seated.
