Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £80

Estimated price: £150 - £250

Buyer's Premium: 16%

A rare and highly desirable 1/2 pint handled tapered oil pourer featuring a black ground upper section and lithographed body. The front displays Aeroshell branding with black lettering on a yellow rectangular field, positioned above the worn words Lubricating Oil and a winged emblem with a central shell device. The body is finished in orange and yellow tones. It features a fixed side handle and an integrated wide spout. The characters 1/2 Pint are embossed into the metal near the handle. An embossed mark is present on the upper conical section but is not legible as a name due to heavy surface residue and corrosion.

Condition report:

Widespread loss of the lithographed finish is visible to the body, alongside surface rust, pitting, and oxidation across the metal surfaces (photos 1, 2, 4, and 5). The tip of the spout is jagged with historical wear (photo 1). Heavy oily residue and accumulated grime are present to the upper section and spout interior (photo 3). The base rim shows several minor dents and is slightly out of round (photo 1). The handle remains firmly attached.
