A circular enamel advertising tray for Whitbread & Co. Ltd. of London. The tray features a red outer border with white block lettering reading WHITBREAD’S and PALE ALE · EXTRA STOUT. The central peach-coloured ground depicts two green glass beer bottles with detailed labels. The left bottle label is printed for Whitbread’s Pale Ale, featuring a hind’s head trademark and text stating BREWED & BOTTLED BY WHITBREAD & Co. LTD. LONDON ENGLAND EST. 1742. The right bottle label is for Whitbread’s Extra Stout, topped with the arched text RECOMMENDED FOR INVALIDS. Faint printed silhouettes of hands are visible in the background behind the bottles. The tray is finished with a rolled rim and a gloss black reverse.

Condition report:

The front display face shows light surface scuffing and faint scratches across the central section (photo 1). There is a notable area of paint loss with associated surface oxidation and rubbing along the lower outer rim between the 6 and 7 o\'clock positions (photo 1). The rolled edge shows minor paint wear. The reverse exhibits scattered spots of surface oxidation and pitting, particularly around the recessed rim, along with general handling scratches and light grime (photo 2).
