Lot 295: A Collection of Leather Advertising Dice Cups and Associated Gaming Dice

A collection of five stitched leather dice cups and eleven associated dice, featuring advertising for British tobacco and spirit brands. The group includes two dark brown textured leather cups with gilt-stamped lettering reading CAPSTAN FOR QUALITY and SMOKE CAPSTAN VIRGINIA CIGARETTES. A reddish-brown smooth leather cup is printed with light blue lettering for PLAYER’S please, accompanied by a matching medium brown leather cup featuring the same brand in black cursive script. The final cup is finished in blue smooth leather with a buckled strap base and white printed graphics for WHITE HORSE SCOTCH WHISKY. The collection includes two sets of dice: five orange-yellow poker-style dice printed with the White Horse silhouette, red K for King, and blue Q for Queen; and six cream-coloured dice, including two Player’s branded advertising dice and four standard six-sided dice with black pips. One reddish-brown cup contains a small brown leather drawstring pouch.
