A metal advertising ruler for W. D. & H. O. Wills. The ruler features a peaked profile with a light green lithographed central band. The face is printed with the branding W. D. & H. O. Wills. in cursive script, flanked by the words CIGARETTES and TOBACCOS. At either end is a trade mark logo comprising an eight-pointed star within a circle, with TRADE above and MARK below. The upper edge is marked with an imperial scale from 0 to 12 inches, and the lower edge features a metric scale from 0 to 30 centimetres. The reverse is unpainted metal with a single black longitudinal stripe.
Length 12 inches.


Condition report:

The lithographed front face is in good condition with minor surface wear and small paint chips along the edges (photo 1). The reverse displays significant surface oxidation, rust, and pitting, particularly along the long edges (photo 2).
