A lithographed tin advertising perpetual calendar for VAT 69 Finest Scotch Whisky. The green ground features a central bottle superimposed on a world globe, surrounded by an elliptical ring of miniature bottles. To the top left is the slogan Quality Tells in cursive script, with the brand name VAT 69 and FINEST SCOTCH WHISKY to the bottom right. The central bottle label displays the Royal Warrant crest for Her Majesty the Queen, identifying the distillers as Wm. Sanderson and Son Ltd. of Leith. The integrated calendar mechanism features two numeric windows for the date and an aperture for the month, operated by two metal knobs to the front. The top reverse edge is printed with instructions reading SHOULD THIS BECOME SOILED RUB LIGHTLY WITH A CLEAN MOIST LEATHER. The bottom reverse edge identifies the maker as MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND BY REGINALD CORFIELD LTD. LOMBARD ROAD LONDON S.W.19.

Condition report:

The lithographed front displays bright colours with a noticeable area of paint loss and scuffing at the bottom left corner (photo 1). Light surface scratches and wear are visible around the calendar windows. The internal calendar cards show age-related yellowing and slight misalignment within the apertures. The cardboard reverse exhibits significant moisture staining and dark tide marks around the seams (photo 2). The original hanging cord is present with visible wear.
