A Grant’s Standfast Scotch Whisky advertising counter display figure, depicting a Scottish soldier in Highland regimental dress. The figure is modeled in a standing pose atop a simulated stone wall base. The soldier is dressed in a dark green tunic with white piping and gold-toned buttons, a green tartan kilt, a white sporran, a glengarry bonnet with a red toorie, and red-and-white diced hose with white spats. The front of the base features the brand name and product type in yellow and gold-toned lettering reading Grant’s STANDFAST Scotch Whisky. The reverse of the base shows the continuation of the simulated stone wall texture. The kilt features a green and black tartan pattern. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the exterior surfaces.

Condition report:
The figure shows surface wear throughout. There is cracking and crazing visible across the face, neck, and head of the figure (photo 1 and photo 2). General paint loss and abrasions are present, notably on the edges of the tunic and the base (photo 4 and photo 5). The white painted areas of the sporran and spats exhibit significant yellowing and surface grime (photo 1). The simulated stone wall base shows minor chipping to the edges (photo 3).
