The tin is printed with a Royal Warrant crest and text reading BY APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING, McVITIE and PRICE’S, THE PREMIER BISCUIT OF BRITAIN and DIGESTIVE. The individual biscuit held by the boy features fine print reading McVITIE’S DIGESTIVE. The print is housed in a dark-stained wooden frame with incised lettering to all four sides reading McVITIE and PRICE. The reverse is sealed with brown paper and fitted with modern brass D-ring hanging brackets.

The lithograph shows light, even age-toning to the paper (photo 1). The wooden frame exhibits minor surface wear, scuffs, and abrasions consistent with use (photos 4 and 6). The reverse paper backing is creased with some minor tearing at the edges (photo 8). Modern brass D-ring hanging brackets have been fitted to the frame sides (photo 8).
