Lot 16: Ogden's St. Julien Tobacco Advertising Showcard

An Ogden’s St. Julien Tobacco advertising showcard featuring an arched top with a lithographic illustration of a thatched cottage and a man walking along a garden path. The central section displays orange serif brand lettering on a cream banner ground above the slogan ‘COOL & FRAGRANT’ in white against a black ground. The design is flanked by two printed graphics depicting 1-oz packets of Empire Blend and Pure Tobacco. To the reverse is a cardboard fold-out easel stand. Small print along the bottom edge reads ‘ISSUED BY THE IMPERIAL TOBACCO COMPANY (OF GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND) LIMITED.’
