One square-format enamel advertising sign for Simonds Brewery. Red ground featuring a central white circular emblem containing a red hop leaf logo. The logo contains the black lettering TRADE MARK. Below the emblem is the text THE HOP LEAF in black. The base of the sign displays the brand name SIMONDS in yellow block capitals with black drop-shadowing. The reverse is finished in a textured black coating.
36 inches x 36 inches.


Condition report:

Surface scratches and faint crazing across the red ground (photo 1). Enamel loss and associated surface oxidation around the edges and mounting holes (photo 3 and 4). The reverse shows significant pitting and areas of rust breakthrough (photo 7). Faint surface dulling and small chips to the central emblem (photo 2).
