The cabinet is fitted with two outward-opening doors secured by small brass knobs. The interior is lined with a vibrant red corded fabric to the back panel, set against a dark wood base. The reverse of the cabinet is finished with vertical wooden planks showing natural grain and knots. The piece is supported by a stepped plinth base and topped with a moulded cornice.

Condition report:
The cabinet shows age-related wear throughout. There are scuffs, light scratches, and general wear to the dark wood finish, with small indentations and minor chips visible on the base and top edges (photos 4 and 5). The back panels exhibit natural knots and some surface staining (photo 8). The acid-etched glass remains clear and well-preserved with no visible cracks. The red fabric interior lining is intact but shows areas of slight fading (photo 6). The brass-toned knobs and internal hinges show surface oxidation and wear consistent with age (photo 7).
