A single antique British porcelain enamel advertising sign for Fry’s Chocolate. The sign features the iconic ‘Five Boys’ motif, depicting five sequential illustrations of a boy’s head showing changing expressions, captioned below as Desperation, Pacification, Expectation, Acclamation, and Realization, concluding with the slogan “IT’S FRY’S”. The design utilizes a dark blue background and border with white lettering and grayscale illustrations. The sign prominently displays two Royal Warrants, identifying the company as “MAKERS TO T.M. THE KING & QUEEN” and “MAKERS TO H.M. QUEEN ALEXANDRA,” dating the piece to the Edwardian period (circa 1901-1910). The sign is rectangular and constructed with pre-drilled holes for mounting.
