Lot 3: Large Morse's Distemper Pictorial Enamel Advertising Sign
1 view
A large pictorial advertising sign for Morse’s Distemper paint, constructed of porcelain enamel on metal. Research indicates this is an early to mid-20th century piece. The rectangular sign features the primary branding “Morse’s DISTEMPER” in large blue script and block lettering. The central graphic depicts a smiling, red-headed boy mascot, splattered with blue paint, standing beside a house façade that he is actively painting. A visible paint can within the illustration is marked “Morse’s WASHABLE DISTEMPER.” The lower register of the sign carries the slogan “ALL OVER THE HOUSE.” The sign is designed for exterior mounting, evidenced by multiple visible mounting holes around the perimeter.
