Lot 13: Large Victorian Clarkes Melox Dog Food Enamel Advertising Sign

A large, rectangular vintage porcelain enamel advertising sign for Clarke’s Melox, The Perfected Food For Dogs. The sign features a dark green outer border framing a central design rendered in white and dark blue. The central motif is stylized to resemble a tied sack of food, detailed with rope elements at the top corners. Key text includes CLARKE’S MELOX, THE PERFECTED FOOD FOR DOGS, and the important inscription By Royal Warrant. To His Majesty The King. This Royal Warrant attribution suggests a production date during the reign of Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, or George VI, placing it in the early 20th century. Market research indicates this specific design is often cited with dimensions of 60 x 40 inches.
