Lot 574: Post Office Enamel Advertising Sign

A white ground enamel advertising sign for the Post Office, featuring bold black block lettering detailing various services including Money Order, Savings Bank, Parcel Post, Telegraph, Insurance, Annuity & Express Delivery Business. The rectangular sign is bordered in black and includes a printed maker’s mark at the bottom right for Ralph & Jordan, Bilston. A small white adhesive label to the upper right is printed Jones & Jacob Limited 199, and a small yellow adhesive label to the lower left is marked M2. The reverse side features a hand-painted yellow numeral 112 and white paint splashes.
