A rectangular tinned steel motor oil can with remnants of original red ground. The front and reverse panels feature an embossed circular emblem enclosing a five-pointed star with embossed lettering TEXACO arched across the upper points, a central T, and MARQUE DEPOSEE embossed below. The lower corner is stamped with the numeral 31. One side panel bears vertically embossed lettering reading TEXACO. Fitted with a flat top handle and a screw-on brass filler cap with raised lugs. The underside is embossed with 12 BS.


Condition report:

Heavy surface oxidation and extensive loss to the red-painted finish across all sides, top, and base (photos 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). A notable dent is present along one vertical corner edge near the embossed side panel (photo 3). The brass filler cap retains a darkened patina with surface wear and tarnishing (photos 3 and 5). Base shows pitting, corrosion, and scattered paint remnants (photo 4).
