An American one-piece petrol pump globe of ovoid form, constructed from translucent white glass. The globe features double-sided fired-on graphics consisting of a blue and yellow shield device containing a white eagle with outstretched wings. The lettering reads RICHFIELD in yellow block capitals above Ethyl in script. To the lower portion of the shield is a circular emblem with a black inverted triangle reading WITH ETHYL, accompanied by the text TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF, BRAND OF ANTI-KNOCK COMPOUND, ETHYL GASOLINE CORPORATION, NEW YORK USA. The globe is currently mounted on a modern red circular electric display base with an attached power lead.
