A cylindrical motor oil can with yellow ground, lithographed with red and black block lettering reading SHELL POMPAX over an underlining red bar to the body. The recessed circular top lid features matching red and black lettering reading SHELL POMPAX arranged above and below a central red Shell pecten emblem. The piece is constructed of sheet metal with rolled rims.


Condition report:

Heavy surface oxidation, dark spotting, and extensive paint loss across the body and upper third (photos 1 and 2). Significant rust, corrosion, and tarnishing across the top recessed lid and rim (photo 3). The top rim exhibits slight distortion and unevenness from handling wear (photos 1 and 2). Oxidation visible along the lower rolled seam.
