Lot 356: J.P. Super Lubricating Oil Motor Oil Tin

A small rectangular lithographed motor oil tin for J.P. Super Lubricating Oil. The tin is finished with a two-tone dark green and bright orange ground, decorated with black horizontal speed lines and vertical striping. The front panel features a circular cream logo containing the letters JP positioned above script lettering reading Super and Oil and bold block lettering for LUBRICATING. A lower orange rectangular box states the oil is SUITABLE FOR J.P. SUPER LAWNMOWERS OR ANY OTHER HIGH CLASS MECHANISM. A printed orange adhesive label to the side panel reads J.P. SUPER-LAWNMOWERS MANUFACTURED BY THE J.P. ENGINEERING CO. LTD. MEYNELL RD LEICESTER TEL. NO 27542 (2 LINES). The tin is fitted with an offset metal screw-top cap.
