McEwans advertising counter-top sign formed of moulded cream-coloured plastic. The front features the stylized cartoon figure of the McEwans Cavalier mascot wearing a red coat with a black sash, a grey hat with a green feather, and holding a yellow frothing tankard of beer. The white trapezoidal base features black block lettering reading McEWANS above red block lettering reading THE BEST BUY IN BEER. The reverse is fitted with a clear plastic support arm and wall-mounting bracket embossed with the manufacturer mark reading REGINALD CORFIELD (SALES) LTD. REDHILL SURREY beneath a stylized RC monogram logo.

Condition report:

Surface soiling and a dark scuff mark are visible on the front of the hat (photo 1). The reverse shows minor surface dirt and slight yellowing to the plastic (photo 2). The fold-out support arm and keyhole mounting slot remain intact and functional (photo 2). There is minor wear to the printed colours along the outer edges (photo 1).
