A lithographed tin advertising sign featuring a yellow ground. The central graphic displays a profile portrait of a bearded sailor in naval uniform wearing a cap with a tally reading H.M.S. EXCELLENT. The lower half contains the slogan Player’s Please in red cursive script with black outlines. A circular trademark logo in the lower right corner depicts a sailor with the word HERO on his cap, set within a lifebuoy border inscribed PLAYER’S NAVY CUT and REGISTERED TRADE MARK. A small circular monogram containing the letters ITC above the number 12687 is printed in the bottom left corner.

Condition report:

The sign is in good overall condition (could do with a good clean). There are some surface scratches and small scuffs across the lithographed surface (photo 1).
