Lot 298: A Collection of British Commercial and Tobacco Advertising Ephemera

A collection of British advertising and promotional ephemera, primarily mid-20th-century tobacco and household brands. The lot includes an interactive novelty folding card for O.K. Spicy Sauce, featuring a printed graphic of a sauce bottle to the front, opening to reveal a black and white photograph of a female model with a two-part transparent plastic swimsuit overlay, the reverse printed George Mason & Co. Ltd., 265 Merton Road, London, S.W.18. The collection further includes a carded Kiddicraft Miniature pack containing plastic Capstan Navy Cut cigarettes, a miniature Gold Flake Cigarettes pack mounted on a maroon pin-back card, a folding card Capstan golf tee pack containing three blue plastic tees, a blue and white Senior Service presentation box containing a miniature cigarette and keychain, and two empty card packets for Wild Woodbine and Carreras Clubs Virginia cigarettes. Also present are a Koray tablets card box containing five tablets, a circular metal tin for Ogden’s Snuff, a circular enamel pin for Booth’s London Dry Gin, and a brass and enamel badge depicting the Butlin’s mascot.
