A trio of graduated Carlton Ware hand-painted ceramic flying toucan wall plaques. Each bird is depicted in flight, balancing two pints of Guinness on its beak, with the text My Goodness and Guinness printed to the glass fronts. The birds are finished in a multi-coloured high-gloss glaze with black, orange, yellow, and white sections. The reverse of each plaque features a printed black script mark reading Carlton Ware Handpainted, above Made in England Trademark in block capitals. The largest plaque is incised CA 2259 A, the medium plaque is incised CR 2259 B, and the smallest bears a partially legible incised mark 2259.

Condition report:

The set is in good condition with vibrant colours and a high-gloss finish. There is visible fine-line crazing to the glaze on the white reverse of all three plaques, with some light browning within the crazing on the reverse of the largest bird (photo 6). Minor factory paint spots are visible on the reverse of the two larger birds. No chips or structural cracks are visible to the beaks or wings.
