Lot 123: Sobranie Cocktail Advertising Showcard

A die-cut cardboard advertising showcard for Sobranie Cocktail cigarettes. The display features a graphic representation of five cigarettes in staggered heights, coloured in shades of purple, yellow, blue, pink, and turquoise, each with a gold foil-effect filter tip. The central black square motif depicts a multi-coloured cockerel logo above the script “Cocktail” and “SOBRANIE IN COLOUR” lettering. A diagonal gold-toned banner reads “FILTER GOLD TIPPED”, and a black horizontal bar at the base states “LONDON MADE LUXURY CIGARETTES”. The brand name “Sobranie” is printed in script on the paper of each individual cigarette graphic. The showcard is constructed from printed card with a corrugated backing. A white circular adhesive label is applied to the reverse reading “UNIT 38 ADVERT £5” in handwritten ink.
