A Shell motoring enamel advertising sign of shaped form, featuring a yellow ground with red script lettering Guaranteed above black serif lettering LUBRICATING. The brand name SHELL and OIL is presented in red serif lettering with black outlines, flanked by the word DOUBLE in white within red rectangular blocks. A red pecten shell logo is positioned at the top centre. A white rectangular panel at the bottom contains black text detailing the property rights of Shell-Mex Ltd and conditions of use. The sign has a curved upper section and four mounting holes. The reverse side shows heavy oxidation.
